"Coffee and a Book!"
Our NEW readers' group meets on the first Friday of each month at 2pm, to chat about books over a cup of fresh-brewed coffee. Each month there will be a recommended title, but we anticipate that the discussion will range among many favorite titles. Come join us and bring a friend!
In 2011, the Book Club is launching into a year of mystery! Rather than focusing on individual titles, we will be focusing on sub-genres, well-known sleuths and their creators. January’s detective was Sherlock Holmes and his creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. February will focus on Detective William Murdoch created by Canadian author, Maureen Jennings. March is Agatha Christie month. There is a lot of freedom in this theme, as you may read any of the books revolving around a particular character, or, as in the case of Agatha Christie, several different detectives. One of our members has even been pulling in historical and literary research to help understand the era that the books are written in.

Trying to find something good to read? Here is a list of our book club selections for the past several years. These will gradually be replaced with the recommended titles from the "Coffee and a Book" group selections.
